With your support we have offered:

• Newsletters published throughout the year containing current information
• Meetings held monthly during the school year (except December)
• Social functions for the whole family such as picnics, field trips and holiday parties
• Parties for the children and teens
• Sign Language and Cued Speech classes
• Scholarship funds for families and professionals to attend classes or workshops
• Information packets for new parents
• Appreciation Dinner held at the end of each school year usually attended by about 175 teachers/professionals
• Provide speakers to other service organizations as requested
• Scholarship funds for graduating seniors
• Deaf Awareness Week Recognition Activities
• Teacher/interpreter workshops and training
• Family aid fund for supplies
• Deaf Awareness Retreat held over 3 days each spring for families, professionals and interpreters interested in learning more about deafness, deaf culture and interpreting - attendance about 200
• Cue Camp - Virginia held over 4 days each fall for families, professionals and interpreters interested in learning more about Cued Speech, deaf issues and interpreting - attendance about 140
• Parent advocacy training
