With your support we have offered:
- Newsletters published throughout the year containing current information
- Meetings held monthly during the school year (except December)
- Social functions for the whole family such as picnics, field trips and holiday parties
- Parties for the children and teens
- Sign Language and Cued Speech classes
- Scholarship funds for families and professionals to attend classes or workshops
- Information packets for new parents
- Appreciation Dinner held at the end of each school year usually attended by about 175 teachers/professionals
- Provide speakers to other service organizations as requested
- Scholarship funds for graduating seniors
- Deaf Awareness Week Recognition Activities
- Teacher/interpreter workshops and training
- Family aid fund for supplies
- Deaf Awareness Retreat held over 3 days each spring for families, professionals and interpreters interested in learning more about deafness, deaf culture and interpreting - attendance about 200
- Cue Camp - Virginia held over 4 days each fall for families, professionals and interpreters interested in learning more about Cued Speech, deaf issues and interpreting - attendance about 140
- Parent advocacy training
